COVID-19 Update from FSSolutions

Due to the recent COVID-19 surge, some clinics and collection sites in our network are experiencing capacity and staffing issues. The Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration, published in the Federal Register May 17, 2012, a Notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM)

The NPRM is proposing additional toxicologicaltesting for non-controlled substances to be tested forpost-accident tests.

The substances the FRA routinely conducts for post-accidenttests are marijuana, cocaine, phencyclidine (PCP), and certainopiates, amphetamines, barbiturates, and benzodiazepines. They areproposing adding two types of non-controlled substances which aretramadol (a synthetic opiod) and sedating antihistamines.

Comments must be submitted on or before July 16, 2012.
